Face Lift

Becoming old is one of the influencing factors of face beauty. Because the skin loses its natural elasticity; having loose skin, wrinkles, lines and sagginess around eyes, mouth and jaw becomes inevitable. A lot of people choose face-lift surgery which also known as rhytidectomy to look younger again. It is considered to be one of the most popular aesthetic surgeries.

The aim of this procedure is to pull back the skin that is sagging to make it tight again and make a tired-looking face look younger. Besides feeling and looking younger, face-lift surgery will improve your confidence, enable you to put on make-up easier and wear clothes with more décolleté.

Types of Face-Lift surgery
The face-lift surgery is utilized by using three different methods. It is usually done under general anesthesia. Regarding your medical condition, your surgeon will decide which option will have the desired results.

Three types of Face Lift surgery are as follows:

   Traditional Face Lift

In this type of surgery, the incisions are made on the hairline behind the ears. After that, the skin is separated from the tissue below it. The surgeon relocates excessive fat and tightens the facial muscles. The skin is then pulled and positioned to its place while the excess skin in removed. To prevent the risk of infection, the face is bandaged after the surgery

Mini Face Lift

This method is similar to traditional Face-Lift. The only difference is the length of the incisions. The removal of excess fat and face-lifting is done by these small incisions.

Keyhole  Surgery

In this method, your surgeon will open very small incisions. After that, while monitoring the surgery progress live on a monitor, your surgeon will examine which muscles are to be tightened.

These types of surgeries are the most common ones that are done with brow-lifting or face-lifting. Even if the healing time is shorter and markings left after surgery are smaller; it is not recommended for everyone. To get the best results, in most cases, combining face-lift surgery with a neck lift surgery is recommended.

After the Face-Lift Surgery
Even if the surgery is not a painful process, your surgeon may prescribe you some painkillers.

After 2 weeks, bruising and swelling goes away and the sutures can be removed.
In the first days after surgery, it is not recommended to do any fast motions with your head or raising it too much.
Make-up is allowed as long as it is worn far from the sutures.
