Immediate haemostatic treatment of gastrointestinal hemorrhage, sclerosing agent therapy, varice bleeding, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, treatment of calculus and stenosis of biliary tract, extraction of calculus from biliary tract, polypectomy (excision of gastrointestinal polyps), treatment of ulcer and gastroesophageal reflux, and treatment of Chorn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, procedures including bile duct and gastroesophageal stent placement are carried out in Gastroenterology Department.

 

In this department, ERCP (an endoscopic intervention used for diagnosis and therapy of obstruction in biliary tract and pancreatic canal), “MRCP Magnetic Resonance Cholangiopancreatography”, (MRI scan of biliary duct, bladder and pancreatic canal) are performed
