As your hair thins your confidence can wane, which can negatively impact your self-esteem, even to point of affecting your relationships and career.
Wanting the full head of hair that was once yours does not mean you are shallow or vain—all men want to look as healthy and attractive as possible. Fortunately, amazing options now exist to treat hair loss in men, procedures that were unimagined only a few decades ago.

HOW COMMON IS HAIR LOSS IN MEN?

Thinning hair and hair loss is very common in men. A “decade of life correlation” is a coincidental parallelism that predicts the percentage of men with hair loss, such that 50% of 50 year olds will demonstrate visible hair loss, 60% of 60 year olds, etc.

WHAT TREATMENTS ARE THERE FOR HAIR LOSS IN MEN?
In short, hair loss treatment for men options include the following:
  •  Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) hair transplants
  •  Follicular Unit Strip (FUS) harvest
  •  Non-surgical medical treatments such as Rogaine (Minoxidil) Finasteride (Propecia)
  •  ACell/Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
  •  Low-level laser therapy
WHAT IS THE NORWOOD SCALE?
The Norwood Classification System describes hair loss patterns in male pattern baldness. Below is a simplified version. Where do you fall?
  • Type 1 : 1 minimal, if any, recession
  • Type 2 : beginning of a receding hairline
  • Type 3 : significant receding at the temples and forehead; may also include some crown loss
  • Type 4 : temples, forehead and crown exhibit hair loss
  • Type 5 : hair loss is significant
  • Type 6 :patients show major hair loss, but still have areas with donor hair available. Transplanting is an excellent option for classes 1 through 6.
  • Type 7 :7 advanced, significant loss of hair. There may or may not be sufficient donor hair for transplantation.

No two heads are alike. Don’t let anyone touch a hair on yours unless you are certain they possess the expertise and experience to restore your hair to a natural, undetectable state.
